Sam Smith 於 9 月 8 日在 Instagram 上發布一則令人振奮的消息，他與電音組合「Disclosure」將會配合製作龐德系列新電影《007：惡魔四伏(Spectre)》的電影主題曲，Sam Smith 非常慶幸能夠接到這份差事，對於能夠參與製作龐德系列的電影主題曲感到非常光榮及驕傲，而《007：惡魔四伏》預計在今年 11 月 6 日全球同步上映。

This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations.  I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it. 能夠參與龐德電影系列的製作，一直都是音樂產業當中令人羨慕的事，配合電影當中的黑暗、陰鬱氛圍，又要能譜出夠經典、夠雋永、且能令眾人傳頌的歌曲，可以說是壓力極大。自上一次《007：空降危機》，Adele 用她渾厚的嗓音唱出主題曲〈Skyfall〉，抱走了奧斯卡最佳原創歌曲獎，這次由 Sam Smith 接棒，是否能交出比 Adele 更好的成績？著實讓人期待。

「Disclosure」9 月 8 日時，也在 Twitter 上宣布了這個好消息，Sam Smith 一直都是「Disclosure」的合作夥伴，之間關係也非常良好，從 2012 年的專輯《Settle》就曾經合作過一曲〈Latch〉，在 Disclosure 即將發行的新專輯《Caracal》當中也合作了〈Omen〉這首歌。
