今年的 The Game Awards 將於下個月 3 日在洛杉磯舉行，說到 The Game Awards，可能大家不會太孰悉，因為這個獎項於 2014 年才開始第一次頒獎。The Game Awards 的縮寫為「TGA」，是一個美國的年度電子遊戲獎項，表揚過去一年以來所發行的最優秀遊戲，這個獎項由美國知名的遊戲媒體人 Geoff Keighley 主辦兼主持，該獎項可以說是 Spike Video Game Awards VGX 年度電玩獎的延續，Spike Video Game Awards VGX 年度電玩獎在 2014 年 10 月份倉促宣布將不再以這個名義舉辦活動，停止 VGX 年度電玩獎的 10 年長跑，由 Geoff Keighley 在 2014 年舉辦 The Game Awards 接續這個意義非凡的獎項。

2014 年所舉辦的 The Game Awards 在拉斯維加斯的 The AXIS 禮堂所舉辦，並邀請來了 Imagine Dragons 作為壓軸，獻唱了一首日本任天堂製作的遊戲《The Legend of Zelda(薩爾達傳說系列)》中的主題曲。

2015 年的 The Game Awards，將選出社會各界今年最喜愛的電動遊戲，從遊戲配樂、項目到電競玩家，幾乎涵蓋到遊戲的所有層面；如此一個盛大的慶祝活動，主辦單位也不意外地邀請到 Deadmau5 作為今年的表演嘉賓。同樣身為一個沉迷遊戲的人，由 Deadmau5 來為這次獎項做 Live 表演再適合不過了！The Game Awards 除了會有 Deadmau5 之外，主辦單位也邀請了今年六月發行新專輯的 Chvrches 樂團來表演，不讓電子音樂在這項電玩的盛事中專美於前。
