在巴西聖保羅，31歲的男子路爾斯（Luiz Higa Junior）早前收養了一隻四個月大的金毛尋回犬Bob，牠搬到路爾斯的家中後，表現十分乖巧，大約一個月後，路爾斯再為家中帶來8隻鸚鵡和一隻小倉鼠，神奇的事情就發生了。

小Bob不但沒有恃着自己年資較高而在新室友面前「擺款」，又或者因牠們常在自己身邊打轉而嫌麻煩，相反，小Bob與牠們打成一片，大家可以活在同一屋簷下、睡同一張床、蓋同一張被，主人形容，小Bob絕對是他見過的狗當中最和善的一隻。
