有「樂壇變色龍」之稱的英國歌手David Bowie，今日由家人證實其逝世消息，終年69歲。他的官方facebook及twitter亦已發佈其死訊—「David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.」，指他在過去18個月一直與癌症搏鬥。他的兒子Duncan Jones亦透過twitter發帖「Very sorry and sad to say it's true. I'll be offline for a while. Love to all.」

David Bowie於1947年在倫敦出生，其代表作包括《Space Oddity》、《Heroes》，演藝生涯中一共發行過25隻專輯，而第25張錄音室專輯《Blackstar》，僅於上星期1月8日，即他的69歲生日當天宣佈發行。David Bowie亦曾在1983年，於香港紅磡體育館舉行過兩晚演唱會。
